Defeat leaders shifting loyalties just ahead of elections: Chandrababu Naidu
Guntur: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu urged the people to defeat the leaders who shifted their loyalty to other parties just ahead of the elections. Naidu addressed a meeting held at the historical Kondaveedu Fort on the conclusion of Kodaveedu festivities on Monday.
The Chief Minister said that some leaders shifted their loyalty with an expectation that they would get tickets and posts in the party. It may be mentioned here that some TDP leaders shifted their loyalty to the YSRCP including MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan, Anakapalli MP Avanti Srinivas, Amalapuram MP P Ravindra Babu and other leaders.
Speaking on their shifting loyalty just ahead of polls, the Chief Minister made it clear that the TDP will give ticket in the coming elections to only those leaders who have public acceptance and who are with the people constantly.
Naidu lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for creating hurdles tor the development of the State and added that in spite of deficit budget and non-cooperation from the Centre, he is developing the State for future generations.
He said the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme will benefit both farmers and tenant farmers. The TDP government has also been extending financial assistance to SHG women. Naidu said YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has been operating from his residence at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad following the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and TS Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Referring to historical Kondaveedu Fort, the Chief Minister said that the fort has historical significance and assured that he will develop the fort as an international tourist centre and added that the government will develop eco-tourism at the fort.
He said that if the fort is developed, it will attract more tourists and tourism will develop in the State capital Amaravati. He recalled that former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao acted in the film ‘Kondaveeti Simham’ which brought recognition to Kondaveedu. The Chief Minister released a book on ‘Kondaveeti Sambrajyam’ and a film on Kondaveedu.
Earlier, he inaugurated the ghat road laid up to the fort at a cost of Rs 32 crore and visited the photo exhibition on development of fort. Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao, MLA Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao and District Collector Kona Sasidhar were among those who were present.
