Lawyers protest terrorist attack on Jawans

 Machilipatnam: The members of Machilipatnam Bar Association (MBA) and the court staff took out a rally here on Monday, condoling death of CRPF Jawans who were killed in terrorist attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on February 14. 

The rally started from Machilipatnam Court premises and reached Saibaba Temple. A human chain was formed.

Speaking on the occasion, MBA general secretary SNV Siva Prasad said that it was a cowardice act by terrorists to target the CRPF Jawans. 

On behalf of the association, he demanded that the government pay Rs 5 crore compensation to the family members of the deceased and provide Grade I job to one of the family members. 

He said that the United Nations Organisation should intervene in the issue to maintain peace and harmony and expel Pakistan from the United Nations.

Association president A Venkataramaiah, S Siva, lawyers MD Rafi S Gangadharnath, L Balaji, B Kamaraju, M Venkateswara Rao, S Shanti Prasad and others were present.
