Syed Mustaqh Ali tourney from Feb 21

Vijayawada: The Andhra Cricket Association would host Group-A league tournament in Syed Mustaq Ali Men T20 tournament at Dr Gokaraju Laila Gangaraju ACA Cricket Complex, Mulapadu from February 21 to March 2.

As many as 35 teams of BCCI are divided in five groups A, B, C, D and E, according to CR Mohan, manager, media relations here on Tuesday.

He informed that the Group-A consisting of Andhra, Kerala, Nagaland, Manipur, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir and the defending Champions Delhi. Group-B will be played at Surat, C at Indore, D at Cuttack and E at Delhi.

After the completion of the league level tournament, the top 2 teams from each group will play Super League at Indore and the Finals will be played on March 14.

Last year, the finals was played between Delhi and Rajasthan and the Delhi team won the tournament to lift Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy.

The tournament started by BCCI in 2008-09 season is named after the Indian legend batsman and former Captain of India Syed Mustaq Ali.
