Anantapur Hindupur Urban Development Authority will usher in planned development

Anantapur: Anantapur-Hindupur Urban Development Authority (AHUDA) Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Dilly Rao has stated that the district will be developed in a planned and systematic manner keeping future land requirements in view. 

Rao, who is also Joint Collector, said the district will be divided into industrial, domestic and agriculture and horticulture zones to ensure a planned development. AHUDA will play a crucial role in future development as development prospects on the industrial front are bright and promising, he stated. 

At a meeting with stakeholders here on Wednesday, Rao directed the L&T company to prepare a beautiful master plan for AHUDA keeping the future requirements of the district including industrialisation prospects in mind. Dilly Rao said that the L&T needs to work with multiple departments and stakeholders for preparing an excellent master plan.

The AHUDA has in its limits 5,120 square kilometres extending over 23 mandals but initially the master plan covers 3120 square kilometres involving 18 mandals and 180 villages. Three civic bodies of Anantapur, Hindupur and Dharmavaram come under AHUDA.

Rajagopalachari speaking on the occasion promised to deliver an excellent master plan by the end of 2019. He said that the master plan will have road, rail and air network connectivity. DIC General Manager Sudershan Babu, DFO Chandrasekhar and L&T team leader Hegde were present.
