Employees medical reimbursement extended till June 30
Amaravati: Medical reimbursement facility being implemented for the government employees would be extended by six months i.e., June 30, said Chief Secretary Anil Chandra Punetha. He was addressing the steering committee meeting of Dr NTR Vaidya Seva Trust on employees’ health scheme (EHS) at the secretariat here on Wednesday.
He said that the government would issue orders extending the medical reimbursement date which expired on December 31. The Chief Secretary instructed the officials of Dr NTR Vaidya Seva Trust to clear the medical reimbursement bills received from the districts within a month.
Recently, the employees of Vaidya Vidya Parishad, Gurukul schools and the non-teaching staff of various universities were included in the scheme and the list should be updated by March 15, he said. He said that a special subcommittee would be formed with the Principal Secretary, CEO of NTR Vaidya Seva and employees leaders to discuss the problems they are facing.
He appealed to the employees to be responsible in discharging their duties keeping in view the facilities the government was providing to them. Special Chief Secretary of Medical and Health department Poonam Malakondaiah said that the network hospitals managements are complaining that they are not paid bills.”It is high time the funds are released in time to solve the problem,” she said.
