Nara Lokesh may contest elections from Guntur district

Amaravati: As a successor of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Nara Lokesh who made his political entry and worked as an activist in Telugu Desam Party for a long time and had played a key role in winning the 2014 elections.

In 2017, CM Chandrababu Naidu has given Lokesh an MLC post and later took him into his cabinet. Though the opposition parties have made so many criticisms against him, he responded back with his workmanship.

As the 2019 general elections are nearing in the state, a big debate is going on among the party leaders that from which Assembly constituency he'll be contesting as an MLA candidate.

It's in the news that Lokesh will be contesting from North Andhra or Rayalaseema region...but some senior party leaders have expressed their views that he should contest from the North Andhra region as his father Chandrababu is representing to Rayalaseema.

Well, it seems that all those proposals are kept aside for now. Its heard that he will be representing to Amaravati region. As per the party sources, Lokesh will be contesting from Pedakurapadu Assembly constituency in Guntur district.

Pedakurapadu constituency is located very close to the capital region and is said to be a stronghold for TDP.

If Lokesh contest from here then he will definitely win the elections with a huge majority, says the party leaders. 

TDP MLA Kommalapati Sridhar is representing Pedakurapadu Assembly constituency. If Lokesh decides to contest the elections from here then Kommalapati Sridhar will be given an MLC post, as per the party sources.

There is also an opinion in the party that it will be good if he contests either from North Andhra or Prakasham district...the party leaders are eagerly waiting to see how Nara Lokesh will respond to this issue.
