Special Category Status is possible only with Congress: PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy

Kurnool: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) State President Dr N Raghuveera Reddy has reiterated that the Congress alone can grant Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh. 

Addressing a gathering near Gandhi Statue in front of  Zilla Parishad office here on Wednesday, Raghuveera stated that AICC President Rahul Gandhi will sign his first file on SCS to AP once he takes oath as Prime Minister.

The APCC chief, who was set out on the Hoda Bharosa Yatra from Anantapur has reached Kurnool on Wednesday evening. He exuded confidence of the Congress-led coalition government coming to power after general elections.

The Congress leader alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu have betrayed people of Andhra Pradesh. People will teach a lesson to the BJP and TDP in the upcoming elections, he said. 

Former MLA Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy, AICC general secretary Sailajanath, State Minority Cell Chairman Ahmed Ali Khan and others also spoke.
