Man kills lover by slitting throat in Tenali

Guntur: A man murdered his alleged lover of half his age by slitting her throat at Islampet in Tenali town in the district on Thursday. According to police, 40-year-old N Satyanarayana, who is residing in the same area in Tenali developed intimacy with 20-year-old Jyothi for the last four years. He is into jewellery-related business. 

Satyanarayana, who separated from his wife and has an 18-year-old son, made Jyothi believe that he would marry her. Jyothi did not inform the matter to her parents. Satyanarayana recently started suspecting Jyothi that she had relations with other persons too. Recently, Jyothi's parents began searching for marriage alliances for their daughter. They went to Eluru on Thursday in search of matches for their daughter. 

When Jyothi was  alone in the house, Satyanarayana cut her throat killing her. Later,  he went to the police station and surrendered.  Tenali DSP M Snehita said Jyothi had been in relationship with Satyanarayana for four years when they resided in Bhattiprolu. “After that Satyanarayana shifted to Tenali. Similarly, Jyothi's parents too shifted to Tenali.

When Jyothi’s parents were searching alliances for her, he murdered her. We have registered a case and took up investigation,” he said. The police sent her body to the local government hospital for the post-mortem. Meanwhile, AP Mahila Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari rushed to the spot on Thursday and demanded stern action against the accused Satyanarayana.
