‘Laksha Gala Garjana’ for SCS organised in Ongole
Ongole: The Andhra Pradesh Vidyarthi Joint Action Committee organised a Laksha Gala Garjana programme, raising slogans for a total of one lakh times, in support of the Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh state on Friday.
About 2000 students from various colleges gathered at the Chaitanya College near Rangarayudu Cheruvu and paid tributes to the martyrs in Pulwama terrorist attack.
Later they raised slogans “Pratyeka Hoda- Andhrula Hakku’ for 56 times demanding that the Union government accord SCS to the state.
The APVJAC president, Rayapati Jagadeesh said that the political parties in the state failed to put enough pressure on the Central government to give SCS to Andhra Pradesh.
He said that the parties are now also trying to give tickets to corporate company representatives who don’t care about the importance of the SCS to the state.
The town president Karthik said that they will spread the Laksha Gala Garjana to all places in the district and the state.
