Over 10L students to appear for Inter exams
Guntur/Vijayawada: Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) is all set to conduct Intermediate Public Examinations (IPEs) from February 27 to March 18 across the State.
As many as 10,17,600 students will write examinations at 1430 centres in the State under the surveillance of security cameras. According to sources in the BIE, as many as 5,07,302 first year students and 5,10,298 second year students will write the examinations. The examinations will be held from 9 am to 12 pm.
The BIE officials identified 113 problematic centres and initiated measures to prevent untoward incidents. A control room was set up with phone number of 0866-2974130.
A toll free number 18002749868 was also set up for the convenience of the students. The candidates may download the hall tickets from the Janmabhoomi AP.govt.in website from Saturday.
The downloaded hall ticket should be signed by the college principal concerned. If the hall ticket is not signed by the principal, It is not valid. Jumbling of chief superintendents and department officials was also already done to check copying. IPE centre locator map was developed by the officials and the students may download it from the Google play store and it will give direction to the examination centre.
Board of Intermediate Education Secretary B Udaya Lakshmi on Friday conducted a video-conference from the board office with the regional joint directors, RIOs, DVEOs, and reviewed the arrangements for conducting the IPEs.
She called upon the students not to resort malpractices. if they resort to copying and other malpractices, criminal cases will be booked against the candidates.
