Students visit expo of sketches in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: The IIT School visited the exhibition of 29 villages of Amaravati capital region done by Urban sketchers, Singapore displayed at the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA), Mogalrajpuram on Thursday.
Dr E Siva Nagi Reddy, CEO of Cultural Centre, briefed the students on the 93 sketches of 29 villages done by 20 Singapore artists and 6 artists from India depicting various facets of the village environment such as the dwellings, streets, professional groups, flora and fauna and traditions and customs, temples and churches with a view to documenting posterity before the rural scape is transformed into metroscape.
The sketches arranged village-wise in alphabetical order. He also involved them into various aspects of rural lifestyles and asked them to physically visit the villages and also the core capital area coming up with government buildings.
Valiveti Radha Murthy, HoD, Telugu Department, Cultural coordinator accompanied the students.
