Israel tech to crack cybercrimes
Visakhapatnam: The City Cyber Crime officials receiving good response from public after their recovery rate had gone up to 16.36 percentage. Thanks to adopting the best practices in tracing the cyber criminals with intensive tools and training given by Israeli experts.
AP cops are upgrading themselves with new ideas and tools and undergoing vigorous training in cyber security firms from Israel, which are recognised as a hotbed for innovative solutions and home to more than 400 active cyber security.
The CCC recovered Rs 12,24,908 by cracking 406 cases in 2017. It was only 0.18 per cent during 2016 after cracking cyber crime cases registered in the district in the last three years. Speaking to The Hans India, Inspector of Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS, Vizag) V Gopinath said, “Even our cyber crime officials were academically from technical background, we were taking the assistance of Israel experts through workshops and undergoing intensive training.
So far, from AP over 500 cops underwent training especially from Vizag district 125 officials of inspector rank trained in six batches in a three days programme. Another 9 inspectors and 51 SIs yet to undergo training.”
In CCS Vizag wing, one inspector, 3 SIs, one head constable,12 police constables and one home guard are intensively trained. With technology upgradation, we still require digital forensic tools to crack the cyber cases, Gopinath said.
