Ministers launch Kalajatha vehicles

Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana and Agriculture Minister S Chandramohan Reddy appealed to the people to utilise welfare schemes by knowing them thoroughly. They formally flagged off the vehicles of Kalajatha at Atmakur Bus Stand flyover in the city on Sunday.

Minister Somireddy said the state government has been supporting the farmers for viable cultivation where they don’t find any difficulty for seeds, fertilisers and pesticides.

The government had waived off loans of the farmers to the tune of Rs. 24,000 crore in the state and had also provided Rs. 20,000 to each SHG members in two phases. They were engaging these vehicles to bring awareness among the people on various schemes of the state government.

Minister Narayana said that average per capita income of the state is low when compared to other states in the country and hence the Chief Minister has been implementing various welfare schemes for their uplift.

Social pensions were doubled to benefit the underprivileged and 94 lakh women across the state were provided Rs.9,400 cr under Pasupu Kumkuma programme, in Nellore city, 48,000 houses were sanctioned to the poor, he explained.

The 8 publicity vehicles will explain to the people the excellent development that took place during last 4 years. If people have any problems, they can call on 1100 for solving them.
