More aspirants vie for TDP ticket in Tirupati
Tirupati: The race for Tirupati TDP ticket for the ensuing assembly elections is picking up as several leaders are claiming their candidatures. On Sunday, party State secretary and a leader from BC community Neelam Balaji organised a meeting with his supporters in city and said that he will be in the race for the ticket.
He claimed that he served the party right from its inception and faced several problems while the party was in opposition. He never aspired for any posts in the party. Chief Minister gave him a chance to serve as chairman of the executive council of local Gangamma Temple. ``I strongly hope, the party chief will consider my candidature for Assembly poll,’’ he said.
While the sitting MLA from the constituency M Suguna of TDP hopes that she will get the ticket without any problem. In addition, the Chairman of Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) G Narasimha Yadav and a senior gynaecologist Dr R Asha Latha requested N Chandrababu Naidu to consider their candidatures from Tirupati.
