Protest against visit of Narendra Modi, Chandrababu Naidu tells people
Vijayawada: Expressing ire on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his anti Andhra Pradesh stand on various issues, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday appealed to the people of the State to protest during the visit of Modi to Vizag on March 1.
He appealed to the people to ask the Prime Minister why the Union government failed to create a separate railway zone in the State with Vizag as headquarters. He also wondered why the Centre failed to sanction permission for Vizag metro rail.
Naidu also sought to know the status of Kakinada Petro Chemical Complex and why the Centre had taken back Rs 350 crore allotted for the development of backward districts of Andhra Pradesh.
He spoke to the TDP workers at Praja Vedika in Undavalli on Sunday on the occasion of former Union Minister V Kishore Chandra Deo joining the TDP.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu Naidu alleged that all democratic institutions were weakened in the country during the rule of Narendra Modi. He appealed to the people to question Modi for showing bias against Andhra Pradesh.
He alleged that three leaders were hatching conspiracy against the TDP government and they don’t want the TDP to win the elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy are jealous over the development of Andhra Pradesh and were hatching conspiracy against the TDP government.
Naidu said the three leaders were spitting venom on Andhra Pradesh and called upon the people to teach a lesson to these leaders in the ensuing elections.
He said the statement made by TRS working president K Taraka Rama Rao that Jaganmohan Reddy would become the next Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh exposed the collusive politics of the three parties.
He alleged that the Union government under the leadership of Narendra Modi was conducting raids by officials of ED and IT on the offices and residenes of TDP leaders and the TRS government was threatening the TDP leaders in Telangana.
Naidu said he was waging a battle not to protect his personal interests but for the sake of development of Andhra Pradesh. “I have been building the State right from the gross-root level and the people should come forward to teach a lesson to the Opposition parties, which are creating hurdles to the development of the State,” he said.
He challenged the three parties TRS, BJP and YSRCP to contest the polls forging an alliance and the TDP would defeat the three parties in the elections.
