Govt flayed for treating govt staff as TDP cadre

Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Pradesh Government Employees Association (APGEA) state president KR Suryanarayana demanded that the government bring all employees’ associations under the purview of trade union act.

Speaking to the media at Press Club here on Tuesday, he said some associations are working as affiliated units of the state government and the government is treating government employees as Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadre.

The government and some of the employee’s associations are cheating the employees which should be condemned by all.

APGEA with 78,000 members is the largest union in the state. It became a farce in the state that for each and everything the associations are supposed to honour Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, though nothing was done so far.

Naidu has not given two Dearness allowance (Das) so far and there is no PRC to the employees. Moreover, the government is cutting some amount from the salaries of the employees without their consent at the time of natural calamities, which is not correct.

The association decided to conduct awareness meeting for the employees to tell them about their rights. Association leaders KS Rao, Shariff, Ravi Kumar, Srikanth Raju and others were present.
