Rajamahendravaram: Members of Rajamahendravaram Bar Association organised a rasta rook at Three-Town police station and burnt the effigy of Denduluru TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar here on Tuesday, protesting against his “abusive and filthy language used against Dalits.” Earlier, they boycotted duties.

They lodged a complaint against the MLA in the police station. Later, Andhra Pradesh Bar Council executive member Mupalla Subba Rao demanded that the police register a case against the MLA under Section 4 of SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act, immediately.

He also alleged that West Godavari police were not taking any action against the MLA even though 27 complaints were pending in the police station. The MLA himself said that a rowdy sheet was opened on him, they said.

They alleged that the MLA was thinking that Denduluru Assembly constituency was his own territory and creating panic among officials who were not able to face him.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was also not taking any action against him. The Bar members GS Reddy, Lakshmi Narayana and others participated.
