Regularisation of RWS engineers demanded at Ongole

 Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of AP JAC Amaravati extended support to the RWS Engineers Association, who are on relay hunger strike for the last two days at the RWS office. 

The JAC leaders visited the engineers in the strike and assured that their demands will be taken to the notice of the government with the help of their president Bopparaju Venkateswarlu and others and get them addressed soon. 

They demanded that the government should appoint site engineers in the place of work inspectors in every mandal, announce promotions by preparing the seniority lists that were pending for 11 years and regularise the service of AE and AEEs who were promoted in 2006 and take up recruitments for the vacancies in the department immediately. 

The district JAC chairman RVS Krishna Mohan, secretary K Venkateswara Reddy, treasurer J Daniel, joint secretary K Kasaiah, collectorate unit president and secretary Utakolu Srinivasa Rao and Chirala Krishna Mohan and others also participated in the strike with the RWS engineers and said that the demands of the RWS engineers are justifiable and the government should react positively.
