YSRCP MLA Gouru Charitha Reddy likely to join TDP

Kurnool: YSRCP MLA Gouru Charitha Reddy representing Panyam Assembly constituency likely to join TDP along with her husband Gouru Venkata Reddy. Charitha reportedly took decision to join the TDP as YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy decided not to allocate MLA ticket to her in the upcoming elections. Charitha won as Panyam MLA on YSRCP ticket in 2014.

Being in opposition, couple strived for strengthening party cadre in their segment and raised several issues pertaining to the district. It is learnt that the YSRCP chief wants to allocate Panyam ticket to Katasani Rambhupal Reddy in the ensuing polls.

Upset with YS Jagan’s decision, the couple wants to quit YSRCP. Speaking to The Hans India, Venkata Reddy said what is the use of continuing in the YSRCP when the party is denying MLA ticket to Charitha. He made it clear that they will continue in the YSRCP if Panyam MLA ticket is given to Charitha or else join the TDP.
