Kuchipudi dance recital impresses audience in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati and Srinivas Farms jointly organised Kuchipudi dance duo of B Swarnalatha and KSSV Nikitha on Wednesday at Madhu Malaxmi Chambers, Mogalrajpuram.
KSS Valli Nikitha, disciple of Bhagavathula Seetharama Sarma, Pasumarthi Venkateswara Sarma and M Surendranath and attained good commend in abhinaya and in foot work. Nikitha was also appreciated by the audience for her apt expressions.
The second artiste of the day, Swarnalatha had her training from the legend Vempati China Satyam and Vedamatham Radheshyam. Her talent was highly prised by the gathering.
The dance recital contained “Vinayaka Kautvam”, Jayadeva’s asthapadi ‘KuruYadunandana’ tarangam ‘Govardhanagiridhara’ and Dharmapuri ‘Javali’
Kritika Shukla, Joint Collector, chief guest of the programme said that the Kuchipudi Art form of Krishna district has become the international fame and she complemented the artistes and parents.
Y Harish Chandra Prasad, Chairman, Cultural Centre of Vijayawada & Amaravati, Pasumarthy Kesava Prasad, K Himabindu were also present.
