Man kills wife

Kurnool: A woman was killed by her husband at Mudigedu village in Sanjamala mandal on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Suvarna (25). After committing the crime, the accused fled from the village.

According to information, Suvarna married to Harshavardhan Reddy five years ago and the couple was bestowed with two children. Harshavardhan, a farmer, addicted to bad habits and was harassing Survana to get money from her parents. On Thursday morning, Harshavardhan picked up quarrel with his wife. In a fit of rage, he hit her with stick on head.

Survana died instantly. The neighbours informed the deceased parents and police. The Sanjamala police rushed to the spot and sent the body to government hospital for post-mortem. CI B Srinivasulu Reddy said that they have registered a case based on complaint lodged by deceased parents. A manhunt was launched to nab the accused, he stated.
