Siva temples decked up for Sivaratri festival
Srikakulam: All noted Shiva temples in the district are decked up for Sivaratri festival started from Saturday onwards. Well known Siva temples, Sri Mukha Lingam in Jalumuru mandal was geared up for the festival. Separate queue lines, prasadam counters, ticket purchasing points and steps way for bathing of devotees in Vamsadhara river were arranged, said the temple executive officer VVS Narayana.
Another popular Siva temple at Ravivalasa in Tekkali mandal was also braced up for the festival. The temple shrine here is called as Yendala Mallikarjuna Swamy. “We are making arrangements for tickets, prasadam and parking facilities around the temple expecting devotee rush of devotees from across the district,” said the temple executive officer G Gurnadha Rao.
Other Siva temples, Umarudra Koteswara, Bhimeswara in Srikakulam city, Sangameswara temple in Vangara mandal are also geared up for Sivaratri festival. Arrangements made at Srimukhalingam in Jalumuru mandal in Srikakulam for Sivaratri festival.
