YSRCP, Left step up campaign in Vijayawada Central

Vijayawada: With Assembly elections around the corner, the YSRCP and Left parties are vigorously campaigning in Vijayawada Central Assembly constituency limits visiting the municipal divisions and meeting the voters at their doorsteps.

Former MLA Malladi Vishnu is contesting from the YSRCP and CPM senior leader Chigurupati Baburao is the alliance candidate of CPM, CPI and Jana Sena. Malladi Vishnu’s candidature was announced many months ago by YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and he has been visiting all divisions meeting the people and assuring them of developing the constituency if he was voted to power in the polls.

So far, Vishnu has covered municipal divisions in Gunadala, Suryarao Pet, Ajit Singh Nagar, Kandrika, Madhura Nagar, Satyanarayanapuram, Vambay Colony and other dozens of colonies. The YSRCP leader and former MLA is highlighting the failure of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and the State government over the development of the city in five years.

Malladi Vishnu is alleging that the TDP had grossly failed to develop the constituency and people are suffering due to mosquito menace in the municipal divisions from 51 to 59. He alleged Gunadala flyover bridge works were not completed by the TDP government due to its negligent attitude. He is assuring the voters that the pensions would be sanctioned to all eligible persons and other welfare schemes would be implemented under the YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s rule.

In the last few months, hundreds of youth joined the YSRCP in the presence of Malladi Vishnu and he is optimistic of winning the elections because of his association with the people of constituency for over 10 years.

CPM senior leader Chigurupati Babu Rao is vigorously canvassing as part of  ‘Praja Patham’ Yatra requesting the people to vote for the change. The Left party leader is getting good support from alliance parties, CPI and Jana Sena.

Ch Babu Rao is highlighting the poor sanitation conditions in the Central constituency particularly in Ajit Singh Nagar. He is assuring the voters that he would fight for construction of houses in Ajit Singh Nagar, Vambay Colony, construction of roads, side drains, distribution of ration cards and strengthening of the government schools and colleges in the Assembly constituency limits.

Babu Rao is also highlighting the TDP failures and the YSRCP failures as the main Opposition party in the State. He is requesting the voters to vote for the alliance candidate for change. He unsuccessfully contested the 2014 Assembly elections and now, optimistic that people would give him a chance to serve in 2019 elections. Babu Rao is well known about the problems being faced by the denizens in the Central Assembly constituency and trying to impress the voters with his rigorous campaign for the last few months.
