Chittoor: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said the development  of Rayalaseema region was hampered by faction politics despite the region providing several chief ministers in its history. He also alleged that Chittoor Cooperative Dairy was decimated by TDP big wigs to advance the interests of private dairies like Heritage.

Addressing a press conference a private hotel here on Sunday, Pawan Kalyan promised that all the defunct cooperative units like Chittoor Dairy , Chittoor Sugar Factory would be resumed at any cost if the Jana Sena comes to power. “Rayalaseema is home to icons like Annamaiah, Vengamamba, Veera Brahmendraswamy, besides world famous temples like Tirumala, Srikalahasti. Such a great region remained underdeveloped on because of faction rivalries. Jana sena will restore its glory,” he said.

Though there was enough infrastructure, no development had been witnessed in the region and only a few caste-based families of the region were benefitted during the last several decades, he regretted.

Criticising both TDP and YSRCP for exploiting people, Pawan Kalyan said his party would join hands with Left parties in the upcoming elections. He called upon the youth to come forward to bring a drastic change in politics.  ‘Put a permanent end to hereditary politics. Common people should be able to dictate the politics. Sena will set a new example in governance,” he said.

The Jana Sena chief reiterated that he would become the Chief Minister if he was voted to power  for ensuring  a truthful and effective governance. Pawan Kalyan  made a whirlwind tour in Chittoor district covering Madanapalli, Punganur and Palamaner with road shows. Many senior leaders of the party met him during his tour on Sunday.
