BC Janardhan Reddy presents 32 cr cheques to farmers
Kurnool: Banaganapalle MLA, BC Janardhan Reddy on Sunday distributed cheques worth Rs.32 crores to the farmers. Later speaking to media persons, Reddy said around 2000 farmers of Kolimigundla mandal in Banaganapalle constituency have given out their land for Ramco Cement factory. The factory management has paid Rs.75000 per acre to every farmer 10 years ago, he said.
The farmers were not satisfied with the amount paid to them by the management of Ramco Cement factory and they approached me and urged for more compensation. I have taken the issue to the notice of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and asked to render justice. Responding positively, the CM has sanctioned Rs.32 crores,’’ stated the MLA.
He further said the Telugu Desam government is committed for the welfare of the farmers. ``Prior to the sanction of amount several leaders
belonging to the opposition party made baseless allegations against me. But I have ignored those comments and decided to help the farmers,’’ said BC Janardhan Reddy.
He asked the farmers to utilize the amount in a proper way. The happy farmers lauded the efforts of BC Janardhan Reddy and extolled Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu for his spontaneous reaction.
