‘Prabhas’ introduced for deities’ procession

Rajamahendravaram: First time in the history of the cultural capital of the State, ‘Prabhas' were introduced to take them in the procession of Lord Uma Kotilingeswara Swamy, as part of Maha Shivaratri festival.
Yedida Venkatesh, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva prepared ‘Kala Bhairava Prabha’ and ‘Shiva Prabha’ by spending thousands of rupees. Two deities are seated on the Prabhas to bless the devotees in the procession. The height of Prabhas is between 20 feet and 25 feet with colourful clothes.
Venkatesh is contributing his might for Maha Shivaratri festival for one-and-a-half decades by arranging dance forms, kolatams and forms of various deities.
