Heat alert for three districts 

Amaravati: The temperatures are predicted to exceed 40° degrees C at various places in Nellore, Prakasam and Chittoor districts on Thursday. The AP Real Time Governance Society said on Wednesday that “there is a forecast of high hotness.”

The “feel like temperature” due to hotness (cited as heat index) will exceed 40°C in Nellore, Prakasam and Chittoor districts mandals to be significant. Authorities requested people to take suitable preventive measures.

The general public in these districts are advised to remain indoors from 9 am to 4 pm. NREGS workers, farmers and agricultural labourers are also urged to take measures to protect themselves from the extreme heat.
