B Naga Jagadeeswara Rao of TDP elected as MLC
Visakhapatnam: B Naga Jagadeeswara Rao of Telugu Desam Party has been elected unanimously as MLC from Local Authorities constituency. On the last day for withdrawal of the nominations, two contestants Ajay. A.N and V Venkata Lakshmi have dropped from the fray.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Returning Officers, Collector K Bhaskar and Joint Collector G Srujana announced that Naga Jagadeeswara Rao has been elected unanimously.
Naga Jagadeeswara Rao, is senior TDP leader in the district and working as a general secretary to the party rural district committee. Meanwhile, Collector Bhaskar said that one contestant B S Naidu withdrew from the contest for the MLC North Andhra Teachers Constituency and finally eight candidates are in the fray.
