MPDOs will get car facility from April 1 

Guntur: All the MPDOs in the State will get car facility from April 1. The State government will spend Rs 35,000 per month on each MPDO for hiring the car to inspect the progress of the development works taken up in the mandal.   Following a request by the MPDOs State association, the government agreed to give allowance for hiring the car and issued orders to this effect.

There are 660 mandals in the State. The government will spend Rs 35,000 per month for each MPDO.  Thus the government will spend Rs 27,97,20,000 per year for providing vehicle facility to the MPDOs. The government directed the ZP CEOs to select an agency to provide cars to the MPDOs from April 1 in the districts. 

The MPDOs should travel at least 2,200 kilometres per month in the car.  In the orders, the government mentioned that Rs 35,000 per month includes rent, fuel, maintenance and driver's salary. Based on the utilisation certificate to be produced by the Agency, the ZP CEOs will make payment every month.
