Works moving at a fast pace in Vontimitta: EO
Vontimitta (Kadapa): The development works are moving at a fast pace in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple at Vontimitta in Kadapa district, said TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal.
The EO along with Tirupati JEO Lakshmikantham and other senior officers of TTD and district officials inspected the ongoing works on Thursday evening. Later, speaking to media, the EO expressed his pleasure over the progress in works. "There was huge leap in the ongoing works, and we will continuously monitor the pace of works in the next three months.
As the annual Brahmotsavams are scheduled in April, another inspection will be there likely before this month end. Our JEO has already taken the initiative and closely monitoring the progress of works,” he maintained.
The EO also said Rs 2.54 crore worth development works inside temple like flooring, extension of potu (temple kitchen) etc which were taken up under the model code of Archaeological Department are also under progress.
On the other hand, the Tourism department officials were also requested to develop the tank so that aesthetic environment can be enhanced to attract large number of devotees,” he observed. Earlier, the EO also inspected the plantation and greenery works.
