‘Opportunities to women key to development’

Vijayawada: Krishna district Rythu Sangam vice-president Y Joya said that society will develop, if women are given opportunities in all fields. 

Addressing a gathering to mark International Women’s Day organised by Casa TVS here on Friday, Joya said that women are in the forefront in all fields and they should be given equal opportunities for the development of society, state and nation.

Former Director of Janashiksha Sangh N Vidya Kanna said that women are deprived of the rights though there was development in society. 

The government should take initiative in addressing the problems faced by the women; she said and added that our country is the land where women are respected. 

Everyone should feel the responsibility to strive for the development of women for a better nation, she added.

Casa group Director K Preethi said they have provided 35 per cent employment in their organisation and give utmost priority to women.
