Two-day State-level meet of BJP begins today

Tirupati: BJP State-level meeting will be held here on Saturday and Sunday to discuss the party strategy for the ensuing elections and also various issues related to the State.

Speaking to the media, State general secretary Suresh Reddy said on Friday that district party presidents, conveners of Assembly and Parliament constituencies, MPs, MLAs and State-level party functionaries will participate in the meeting on the first day and on the second day  State party executive committee meeting will be held.

Reddy said Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister will participate as chief guest at the State party executive committee meeting on Sunday. Party State president Kanna Lakshminarayana and official spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao are among those attending the two-day meeting.

The meeting assumes significance as it is the party’s first State-level meeting after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two visits to Andhra Pradesh to step up the saffron party campaign and counter the ruling party criticism against the Centre.
