Reserve TTD jobs for Seema only: Speakers
- Rayalaseema groups oppose opening of TTD jobs for entire State

Tirupati: A round-table organised here opposing the State government’s order to consider the entire State as a single unit to fill vacancies in the TTD.
They demanded the government to implement Article 371 (D) so that jobs in TTD are reserved for Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur districts.
Leaders of Rayalaseema Intellectual Forum, Rayalaseema Porata Samithi, people’s organisations, trade unions and unemployed participated in the round-table here on Saturday and discussed about protecting local reservation in TTD jobs.
Few days ago, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal wrote a letter to the government seeking permission for filling 6,500 permanent jobs. In reply, the government directed the TTD to treat entire State as a single unit for filling posts.
Rayalaseema Adyana Samastha (RAS) founder President Bhuman Subramanyam Reddy said that there is no development, income and job creation in Rayalaseema when compared to coastal districts after united AP bifurcation.
In the round-table meeting, retired TTD Deputy EO Prabakar Reddy said that the TTD had implemented local reservations from the beginning.
Film critic Kathi Mahesh slammed the State government for giving orders to fill vacancies without 371 (D).
Republican Party of India (RPI) State President P Anjaiah came down heavily on TD government for spending crores of rupees on construction of temples.
He alleged the State government is misusing the crores of rupees of TTD funds for political mileage. The round table resolved to chalk out series of protest programmes.
Before sitting on protest, they brought the issue to the notice of TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal and TTD Chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav.
