Tech fest kick-starts in SPMVV

Tirupati: National-level technocrat fest ‘Virinchi 2K19’ being organised by the School of Engineering and Technology (SoET) of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) for two days inaugurated on Saturday. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Registrar and chief guest Prof DM Mamatha underlined the importance of the value and usage of time. She advised the students that one should dream big in order to achieve one’s goals. 

She also stressed that career objective, clarity of thought and perseverance play a key role in achieving success.

Guest of honour Prof G Prabhakar, Department of Chemical Engineering, Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) Engineering College has said that this kind of fests would help the students to bring out their innate talents and to develop competitive spirit. 

He also advised the students to have an open mind and show willingness to achieve their goals. 

The Director of SoET Dr A Ramakrishna Rao has stressed on the importance of technocrat fest which helps the students to explore their hidden talents and to aid in their all-round development. 

He stated that innovation cannot be dreamt of but needs continuous discipline and hard work and tech fests are great events to get exposed to innovative ideas. 

As part of this programme, various technical and non-technical events will be conducted during the two days. Cultural programme takes place in the evening. 

Faculty convenor J Anusha, Co-convener Aravinda Keerthi, student co-ordinators P Keerthana Rao, R Ramya, K Divya, U Lakshmi Prasanna, and other students, faculty and non-teaching staff of SoET have participated in the event.
