Bajaj is all set to launch the new Discover series tomorrow, which includes the Bajaj Discover 110 and Bajaj Discover 125. But that’s not all. The Chakan-based manufacturer is also likely to showcase their 2018 range of motorcycles. We expect the two-wheeler manufacturer to showcase the refreshed Bajaj Avenger range along with the Bajaj Dominar 400 with a new paint scheme as well.
The Bajaj Discover 110 is expected to be powered by a rebored version of the existing 102cc motor seen on the Bajaj Platina Comfortec. It is likely to get additional features such as a digital instrument cluster and LED DRLs. The recent spy shots of the bike suggest that the new Discover 110 borrows the frame, suspension, wheels and bodywork from its elder sibling, the Discover 125. However, the tyres appear to be slimmer in profile when compared to the Discover 125. Bajaj is likely to price it around Rs 50,000 (ex-showroom), which will pit it against the TVS Victor and the Hero Splendor iSmart 110.
Unlike the Discover 110, the changes on the Discover 125 are expected to be minor in nature. While the powertrain and mechanical bits are likely to remain unchanged, the motorcycle could receive revised graphics and a semi-digital instrument cluster. Currently, the Discover 125 is priced at Rs 53,171 (ex-showroom Delhi). We expect Bajaj to hike the price of the 2018 version by a small margin.
As mentioned before, Bajaj will also showcase its 2018 range of models at the event. The manufacturer is expected to update the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street and Cruise motorcycles with a digital instrument cluster, LED DRLs, a split seat, new grab rails, a single-channel ABS unit and a new 'Avenger' insignia. The Bajaj Avenger 150 Street, on the other hand, might not receive such an extensive update. The Dominar 400, on the other hand, is set to receive a new red paint option along with gold-coloured alloy wheels. We will be reporting live from the launch event tomorrow.
