Mahindra has launched the KUV100 Trip in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 5.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The KUV100 Trip, which is targeted at fleet operators and business owners, is based on the pre-facelift version of the hatchback and comes equipped with two engine options - petrol-CNG and diesel.

The carmaker claims a running cost of Rs 0.35-0.40 per/km. The KUV100 Trip can be had in two colours - white and silver.

The petrol-CNG version of the KUV100 Trip is powered by the 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 motor. In petrol-only guise, this motor is capable of producing 83PS at 5500rpm and 115Nm at 3500-3600rpm. The diesel version is powered by the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 engine which produces 78PS of power and 190Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with a dashboard-mounted gear lever.

“With its flexi 6-seat option, spacious interiors, low operating cost, attractive price and high earning potential, the KUV100 TRIP is set to be a popular choice with fleet owners as well as aggregators in the object of mobility space,” said Veejay Ram Nakra, the chief of sales and marketing, automotive division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Prices for the standard Mahindra KUV100 NXT start from Rs 4.5 lakh for the petrol hatchback and Rs 5.5 lakh for the diesel version.
