India inc. to hire more women in top-positions

Recently the company India inc. has specifically sent out mandate to it’s executive search firms to look for women candidates for top-positions. Generally female candidates are mostly chose for mid level-positions to boost their gender diversity ratios.

While many women enter into the workforce, most of them drop out at senior level due to many reasons such as maternal leaves, due to which there are few leadership positions with women in power, hence this mandate would be useful in increases the prospect of women in senior-level positions.

Many companies are now designing programmes to mentor and groom women for leadership positions.
