Awfis expands coworking space in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Awfis, a three-year-old startup providing co-working space in India, announced on Thursday to expand its footprint in Hyderabad with two more upcoming centres. At present, the startup has 2,000 seats leased out to office spaces at Taj Deccan, Gachibowli and two in Hitech city. Adding on further, it’s coming up with 1,000 seats on 40,000 sft at Hitech city and 2,000 seats on 1 lakh sft at Raidurg, bringing its total count of seats in the city to 5,000.
The two upcoming co-working space facilities are established under the management operator model for which it has taken rights from Sandhya Techno to exclusively market and represent the floors to clients on conventional lease model. Going further, it plans to double its presence in Hyderabad and to 50,000 seats across other cities by March 2019.
Amit Ramani, Founder, Awfis, said: “Earlier the trend of occupying co-working spaces was either by SME’s or startups, while it came to larger enterprises the office was mainly utilised as regional office.
However, there is a shift and right now we have over 60 per cent mainstream clients using the space as their headquarter. We have all three commercial users as our clients like Hexagon a SME, Zomato being a startup and enterprise like Fujitsu, Vodafone.”
