Hubhopper's founder bags 'Entrepreneur of the Year (Online Business)' award
New Delhi : Gautam Raj Anand, founder and CEO of Delhi based Hubhopper, India's largest platform for Podcasts and Publishers, has bagged the prestigious 'Entrepreneur of the Year - Online Business (Small) 2018' award.
The accolade comes in as recognition for his approach of addressing the problems of the online content industry by enabling the users to personalize their content-consumption experience.
"The vision of this company is a simple one: making content easy in all its forms for everyone involved," said Gautam.
Apart from making publisher discovery and content consumption easy, the company has also introduced India's biggest podcast directory, which includes popular podcasts from around the world. It has changed the way users perceive the consumption of digital content through a managed interface.
"Musicians have Spotify, Eateries have Yelp and products have E-commerce to take care of everything aside from their core competency. In the world of content, however, this bridge is broken," added Gautam.
He believes that genuine user love and a small group of users addicted to a product is more valuable than a large group of users indifferent to it, which is why he gives a higher importance to learning more about consumer satisfaction and behavior than aiming for huge user numbers.
Gautam was recently featured in Forbes' prestigious '30 Under 30 Asia' list of 2018 in the Mass Media, Advertising, and Marketing category.
His company also raised many eyebrows when it topped both the Google Play Store and Apple App store in the same month last year and it was also named 'Problem Solver of the Year' in 2017.
Gautam promises that there is a lot more in store.
