Mahindra upgrades Bolero pick-up
Hyderabad: Automaker Mahindra & Mahindra on Friday launched updated version of Mahindra Bolero pick-up in the city. Available with revamped interior and better seating comfort, the new pick-up comes with different body style, cargo box lengths and varying payload capacities of 1,300 kg, 1,500 kg and 1,700 kg, suitable for various customer segments and their needs. It features stronger nine-leaf suspension and wider 15-inch tyres.
Launching the new pick-up, Mahesh Kulkarni, Vice President, Marketing (Commercial Vehicles), Mahindra, expressed optimism that the sales of Bolero pick-up would see 15 per cent jump this fiscal, driven by the new offering.
The automaker sold 1.49 lakh units of the pick-up last fiscal. From April to September this year, its sales stood at 12,600 units. According to him, 50 per cent of the pick-up business come from agriculture business sector while the rest was from the service industry. Mahindra achieved 62 per cent market share in the overall pick-up segment till September this fiscal.
