Hyderabad: The Netherlands-based multi-national firm Royal DSM on Monday opened its second animal nutrition and health premix plant at Jadcherla in Mahbubnagar.

The company said the facility will provide premix solutions for poultry, dairy and aquaculture, catering to the company’s customers in the south eastern regions of India.  While the company entered the Indian market with its first premix plant at Ambernath in Maharashtra, DSM said it opened its second facility in India and 47th across the globe to meet the rising feed consumption demand and to be in pace with the feed market growing at a rate of nearly three per cent. In addition, the company plans to expand its portfolio with the feed enzyme and eubiotics segment.

According to Ravindra Vyawahare, the company’s Business Unit Director for South Asia, the dynamism of the market was the key to continue investments in India. “ The Jadcherla plant shows our willingness to support further development as it gives us geographic reach and increases our production capacity to meet the growing industry demands,” he said.
