ICICI organises coin exchange mela

Hyderabad: Under the aegis of Reserve Bank of India’s Clean Note Policy, ICICI Bank organised coin exchange mela across 150 select branches in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Friday. The mela with an intention to exchange soiled and mutilated coins and notes witnessed participation from over 4,400 customers exchanging more than Rs 2.5 crore worth of currency.
The bank also organised a mobile coin exchange initiative in Vijayawada, named – Coins on Wheels, a dedicated vehicle to exchange soiled notes with coins and fresh currency. To obtain smaller denomination of currency and coins, the traders, retailers, retired individuals among others participated in the mela.
