Rs.10 cr budget for Vijay Devarakonda's next

It seems that teen sensation Vijay Devarakonda's stocks are soaring high these days. Producer Allu Arvind is reportedly pumping Rs 10 crore for his love story with Vijay Devarakonda, being directed by Parasuram. Actually, Vijay's earlier two big hits 'Pelli Choopulu' and 'Arjun Reddy' were made below Rs 3 crore, but the massive success of the latter has expanded the market of Vijay beyond Rs 15 crore. “Geetha Arts want to make a lavish love story and are leaving no stone unturned.  

Virgin locales, richly-mounted songs and big casting have added to the cost. Billed to be a wholesome entertainer, it started like a medium-budget movie but now it is made with four to five times more than the specified budget," says a source, close to the unit. Geetha Arts who made lavish films with Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun, are also putting same kind of efforts to make Vijay, a bigger star. 

"Vijay became a bankable star with 'Arjun Reddy' and this extravagant film will catapult him to the next league," adds the source. Undoubtedly, young actors should work with reputed banners, as they can enhance their brand and production values on par with big heroes.  No doubt, 'Pelli Choopulu' star is going places.
