The small budgeted flicks always come with good content to entertain the audiences. There are several instances where these small movies have become hits. Here, we have an interesting movie called Ego that released in the theaters. Ashish raj and Simran played the lead roles in the movie which has an interesting point. The movie is said to be having a good love story. The trainer raised good buzz and let us check out the review of the movie here.
Story:
Gopi (Ashish Raj) and Indu (Simran) are egoistic people. Both fight with each other every now and then. Adding to the, both the families have a rivalry. Indu's family look out for matches to her and Gopi challenges her that he'll find a suitable girl first ever before Indu finds a guy. Gopi reaches Hyderabad and around the same time, Poorvi's (Deeksha Panth) murder takes place in Hyderabad. Unfortunately, Gopi gets involved with the Murder.
Who's Poorvi? What is Gopi's connection to the murder? What happens in the end forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
Ashish who was Introduced with the movie Aakathayi played the lead in the film Ego. The actor impressed everyone with his acting. He's good with dances, fights and comedy scenes.
Simran who made her debut as a heroine is good in terms of looks and performance. Bigg boss beauty Deeksha Panth is impressive too. She did her best. The other actors Rao Ramesh, Prudhvi, Posani and others also made their presence felt. Prudhvi's comedy is a major highlight for the movie.
Technicalities:
The technical team of the movie worked very hard for the film. The art by RK Reddy is good. The production design is okay. The locations looked colourful and the cinematography is excellent. The framing is nice and impressive.
The DOP must be appreciable. The editing by Siva Y Prasad is okay but a lot of unwanted scenes could have been chopped off in the movie. The music by Sai Karthik is okay and his BGM is also the same. The production values are grand but they could have spent carefully on the project.
Verdict:
The movie reveals the story of a guy who's unnecessarily involved in a case. How he came out of it is the major hook point in the movie. The director chose an interesting plotline and tried his best in executing it.
The director is appreciable for taking up a commercial script. The second half is a bit slow when compared to the first half. On a whole, the movie is good in parts and could have been much better than what it was now.
