Producer Ram Charan Tej and director Surender Reddy are sticking to the big budget plans for 'Sye Raa... Narasimha Reddy' and have reportedly spent Rs 18 crore till date from the launch to the first schedule. Usually, T-town big films cost just Rs 6 to 7 crore for the first round of shooting, but Ram Charan seems to have loosened his purse strings and splurging money on his father and megastar Chiranjeevi's magnum opus.

"It is a prestigious film for Chiranjeevi's family and they are not compromising on any aspect. They have shot at the best of locales, erected sets with best production values and canned some British era episodes with foreign actors to give the patriotic saga the much-needed grandeur and look," says an industry source.

It may be recalled that Chiranjeevi is donning the role of the revered patriot Narasimha Reddy of united Andhra Pradesh who took on the might of  the British army. "The shooting will resume from February 2 since Chiranjeevi and family took a break for Sankranthi festival," the source adds.

After making a comeback with 'Khaidi No 150,', the  megastar is showing a lot of interest in scripting, looks and other aspects of his next big film. "He is offering suggestions to deliver a magnum opus" the source concludes.
