Frustrated fan hurls shoe at Tamannaah
Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident, a youth hurled footwear at actress Tamannaah, who was in Nararayanguda for opening a showroom of Malabar Gold Jewellery on Sunday.
This incident took place following the inauguration of the showroom by Baahubali actress at Narayanguda, while she was taking selfie with stick, along with some of her fans at about 12.10 pm. One of the bystanders, Kaleemullah, a student and resident of Musheerabad, suddenly took out his chappal and threw at stage, where Tamannaah was standing holding the selfie stick.
The footwear missed the actress and hit one of the showroom salesmen, Fayaz. For some time, the bouncers and policemen were clueless and later when they checked the premises they found Kaleemullah wearing only one chappal and pounced on him.
He was later taken into custody by the police. When questioned the reason behind hurling the footwear, he reportedly described himself as the ‘great fan’ of hers and was upset about her rare appearance in Tollywood movies.
“The chappal did not hit her, but it hit one of the salesmen who was present there. However, we registered a case and began investigation,” said B Ravinder, Inspector, Narayanguda.
The actress was immediately shifted to safety and the management of Malabar Gold also lodged a written complaint about the incident with the police. The inauguration programme was also attended by Khairatabad MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy.
