Complaint filed against Priya Varrier’s hit song

The song - ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ from Malayalam movie ‘Oru Adaar Love’ has become a huge hit with the young actress Priya Prakash Varrier turning into an overnight sensation.

However, the song has landed in trouble with a complaint lodged against it in Falaknuma, Hyderabad on Wednesday.

A group of youngsters from Farooq Nagar approached the police with a written complaint against the song claiming that the lyrics were derogatory and hurting their religious sentiments.

The complaint stated that even though the song features a romance between a girl and boy, the lyrics played in the background hurt their sentiments.

A case is yet to be registered in this regard.
