Sridevi’s family gets clearance to claim body

With the Indian Consulate officials and family members waiting to collect Sridevi’s body, the latest reports suggest that the body has been cleared for physical assignment. The prosecution cleared her to hand over the body to the family. 

The Dubai Police has handed over letters for the release of the mortal remains of Sridevi to Boney Kapoor and Indian Consulate officials. The confirmation came from the official handle of Indian Consulate in Dubai and no further investigations are to be held.

The body can now proceed with embalming. The entire procedure will take about 3-4 hours to complete including the chemical process without damaging the body. 

Keeping this in view, the body is likely to reach Mumbai at night.

Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Navdeep Suri was quoted saying, "All the arrangements are being made to shift the physical condition to Mumbai as soon as possible. Sridevi's body will be transferred to Mumbai on a special chartered flight.”
