Why there is a low buzz for Rangasthalam?
Until the full audio album release and theatrical trailer release, Rangasthalam has been one of the sure shot blockbusters for Telugu Cinema, releasing this Summer.
But now, the buzz seems to be heavy among Mega Fans but not at that expected range from others, mainly daily audiences. The advance booking is still not at that high as Mythri Movie Makers would have anticipated it to be.
In many areas, the tickets for first day are still available even though Advance booking opened before itself. Devi Sri Prasad did give a popular audio but the audience seems to not have huge belief on Sukumar and Charan combination.
Sukumar did not make such widely popular films till now after Arya and his films are popular in Overseas than in domestic market. Him coming with 2 hrs 55 minutes length film, that too a simple beaten to village theme is highly unexpected.
The movie took total one and half year in the making and most parts have been re-shot as the director did not like the output. While, actors are confident, producers are a bit worried and hoping for a good word-of-mouth from 29th March premieres in USA and benefit and early morning shows in Two Telugu states.
Ram Charan did not have much success rate in other genres than action, as his huge budget experiments Ike Orange and Govindudu Andarivadele became huge disappointments for producers and fans. The actor is confident that the movie wil be breakthrough from routine cinema and we have to wait for 30th March to know audience verdict!
