Koratala Siva takes up a new job?
Reigning director Koratala Siva, who is on a dream run with blockbusters like ‘Srimanthudu’ and ‘Janatha Garage’ is reportedly turning a distributor with his upcoming and much-hyped flick ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’.
It is learnt that leading producer Danayya has given a part of distribution rights of the Nizam region and it would work out to more than Rs 22 crore. “The director has agreed to take the Nizam rights as part of his remuneration so that he could release or sell the film to others,” says a leading distributor, on condition of anonymity.
Nevertheless, it is an inspiring decision taken by Koratala Siva and other directors can follow suit. “Actually, top directors, who are charging a bomb can also take distribution rights as part of their remuneration. Apart from reducing the burden on the producer, it also makes the director a stakeholder in the profit and loss of the movie, thus making him more responsible and enabling him to deliver a better product,” he adds.
Undoubtedly, Koratala Siva who gave blockbusters to stars like Prabhas, Mahesh Babu and Jr NTR with novel themes is now opening a new path-distribution and hopes that he will succeed in his new mission as well. No doubt, the `Mirchi’ director is thinking out-of-the-box and reducing the risk of the producer in his own way.
